Description

You are the blobfish behind the popular deep sea news show, True Info TV. Grow your audience, sell them supplements, and keep them frothing with stories about economic collapse, tyrannical government overreach, and moral panic.

You're out there fighting the good fight! Who cares that things out there in the ocean are basically alright? Who cares that you don't have 'evidence' for the things you're saying?! They feel true - and if these product placement sales are any indication, a whole bunch of fish feel like they're true as well.

The Theme

The idea for the game came from a lot of conspiracy communities use of 'storm' imagery. It's powerful stuff, and so it attracts a lot of grifters who want to work it into their sales pitches, trying to pawn off overpriced, useless crap on their listeners, sometimes making huge returns in the process.

It can make people a lot of money, and get them a lot of attention. Consequently, there are a lot of people who end up doing this. As some recent high profile examples have shown, when you get into this business there is a reconning that comes somewhere down the line. It's not the fictional political storm that wipes out your enemies. It's all the chaos, and dishonesty, catching up to you and tearing whatever you built down around you. You can only rake in that grift money for so long.

So with all that in mind, we aimed to build a misinformation, grift, deck builder.
